A Sisterhood of Irish-American, Catholic Women, The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians is a National organization officially recognized in Omaha, Nebraska in 1894 as the "Daughters of Erin." Today, the LAOH has changed in many ways but still holds true to its MOTTO of "Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity. We are pledged to God and Country. Membership Information Any women not less than sixteen (16) years of age, being practicing Roman Catholic, who is Irish or of Irish descent through either parent, or who is legally adopted, or who is the wife or mother of a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America, Inc, or the mother of a member of the Junior Division, shall be eligible for membership in this organization. New Feis Site Now Open
The Nassau County AOH launched a new website for it’s upcoming Feis on September 20, 2009. Over the next few months we will be adding online registrations and also schedules and sylibuses for the upcoming competition, but as of right now, feel free to take a look at video and photos from last year’s Feis.
